How do I create a moodboard?
The short version
Create or open a design in Canvas, then build the moodboard with reference images, products, colors, and text. Arrange the pieces on the canvas and share the finished direction from the design.
A moodboard is an open canvas where you collect and arrange visual references to set a direction. You build it in Canvas, then share it the same way you share a lookbook.
Start a moodboard
- Open a design. Create a design in Canvas or open an existing one.
- Add references. Add images, products, colors, and text to the design.
- Arrange the moodboard. Move, resize, and group the pieces to build the direction.
Share it
When the moodboard says what you want it to say, share it with a client as a link. See How do I share a moodboard with a client?.
Tip
A moodboard and a lookbook are both built in Canvas from your library. Reach for a moodboard early to agree a direction, and a lookbook later to present specific pieces.
