How do I organize a Hub into folders?

A Hub holds everything for one project, and folders are how you keep it neat. Group images, designs, palettes, and notes into folders so the Hub stays easy to navigate as the project grows.

Create a folder

1. Open the Hub. Go to the Hub you want to organize.
2. Click Create new. From the menu, choose Folder.
3. Name the folder. Enter a Folder name, add an optional Description, then click Create. Use a name that matches how you think about the work, for example References, Drafts, or Final.

Nest folders to group work

You can create folders inside folders, up to three levels deep, so a large project does not become one long list. A breadcrumb at the top shows where you are and lets you step back up. When you reach the deepest level, the option to add another folder inside is no longer offered.

Move and merge folders

As a project changes shape, you can rearrange it without starting over.

• Move a folder or file. Drag a folder, subfolder, or file onto another folder to move it inside, or use Move folder from the folder’s menu to send it to a different folder or even a different Hub. Moves keep the three-level nesting limit, so Visualist stops a move that would nest too deep.
• Merge folders. Use Merge folder to combine folders into one. Everything inside the merged folders, including files, notes, and nested subfolders, moves into the destination folder, and the emptied folders are cleared out.
