How do I share a design with a client?
Open the design in Canvas, open its tab menu, and switch on Share to web. Copy the public link from the banner and send it to your client. They can open the view-only design without a Visualist account.
Sharing turns a design into a clean page your client can open on any device. They do not need a Visualist login. The finished design is visible while the work behind it stays private.
Share the design
- Open the design. Open the design in Canvas that you want to share.
- Switch on sharing. Open the design’s tab menu and switch on
Share to web. - Copy the link. Click
Copy public linkin the banner above the Canvas. - Send it. Send the copied link to your client.
What the client sees
The client opens a view-only version of the design in their browser. Your library and internal notes stay private. Anyone with the link can view it, so share it only with the people you want to reach.
A share link stays in your control. Open the design’s tab menu and switch off Share to web to remove the public link without deleting the design.
When to share versus export
Share a link when you want the client to view the design online, on any device, with a version that stays up to date. Export a PDF when you need a fixed, printable copy to attach or hand over. See How do I export a design as a PDF?.
