How do I search my library by color?
The short version
Switch the search bar to color search, then enter a hex code or pick from the swatches. Combine up to five colors to narrow it down, and Visualist surfaces the files in your library that match. It is the fastest way to find images that fit a palette.
Because Visualist understands the colors in every image, you can search your whole library by color rather than by keyword. It is the quickest way to find references that fit a palette you are working to.
Search by color
- Open color search. In the search bar, switch to color search. You will see the prompt
Type a hex code or pick a swatch below. - Choose colors. Enter a hex code, or pick from the swatches shown. You can combine up to five colors to tighten the match.
- Search. Run the search to see the files in your library that match those colors.
Good to know
Color search takes up to five colors at once. If a hex code is not valid, Visualist flags it so you can fix it before searching.
