How do I erase an object from a photo? Select an image in Canvas and choose Eraser to open Focus mode. Adjust Brush size, paint over the object, then select Erase with Vai to create a new image.
How do I export a design as a PDF? Open the design in Canvas, click Download in the toolbar, and choose PDF. Visualist renders every page into one file you can send or print. You can also download a design as PNG or JPG images instead.
How do I extend or expand an image? Select an image in Canvas and choose Extender to open Focus mode. Drag one or more edges outward, then select Extend with Vai to create a new image beyond the original frame.
How do I blend two images together? Select an image in Canvas and choose Mixer to use it as the Base in Focus mode. Add one to three images, describe how to combine them, then select Mix with Vai.
How do I use pages and the infinite canvas? Canvas has two layouts. The infinite canvas is one open, pannable space with no edges, which suits moodboards. Pages split a design into fixed-size artboards (Letter, A4, 16:9, Instagram, or custom) you manage in the film strip, which suits lookbooks and print. Switch between them from the toolbar.
How do I duplicate and reuse work in Canvas? Select an object and choose Duplicate, or duplicate a page from the film strip. You can also copy selected objects and paste them into another design.
How do I tidy up the layout on the canvas? Select the items you want to arrange and choose Tidy up. Pick Row, Column, Organic, or Cluster, adjust the available layout controls, then select Apply.
How do I upscale an image to higher resolution? Select an image in Canvas and choose Upscaler. Focus mode opens and the upscale starts automatically, creating a new higher-resolution image.
How do I share a design with a client? Open the design in Canvas, open its tab menu, and switch on Share to web. Copy the public link from the banner and send it to your client. They can open the view-only design without a Visualist account. Also in: Permissions and access
