How do I export a design as a PDF?
Open the design in Canvas, click Download in the toolbar, and choose PDF. Visualist renders every page into one file you can send or print. You can also download a design as PNG or JPG images instead.
A PDF is the cleanest way to hand a design to someone who is not in Visualist, whether to email, print, or attach to a proposal. Canvas builds the file from your canvas in a couple of clicks.
Export to PDF
- Open the design. Open the design in Canvas that you want to export.
- Open the Download menu. Click
Downloadin the toolbar. - Choose PDF. Choose
PDF. Visualist renders every page into one file and downloads it.
Export a design in other formats
The same Download menu also offers PNG (zip) and JPG (zip). Pick those when you need flat images rather than a document, for example to post on social or drop into another tool. When a design has more than one page, the images come back as a zip.
A PDF is best for sending a fixed, printable copy. To let a client view the design online and leave comments instead, share it as a link. See How do I share a design with a client?.
