How do I search across Visualist?
Open global search with `Cmd+K` on macOS or `Ctrl+K` elsewhere. Search by text, image, or color, combine conditions, and use the keyboard to move through and open results.
Global search reaches across your workspace, so you can find something without remembering where you put it. It covers Hubs, folders, images, products, designs, palettes, Notes, Comments, messages, action items, and Drive.
Search across your workspace
- Open search. Press
Cmd+Kon macOS orCtrl+Kon another platform to open global search across everything you have access to. - Choose how to search. Search by text to match words, by image to find visually similar pictures, or by color to find images built around a particular shade.
- Combine conditions. Add
and,or, andnotgroups to narrow things down, for example a color paired with a keyword, minus a hub you want to exclude. - Move through the results. Use
Arrow UpandArrow Downto move between results.HomeandEndjump to the first or last result. PressEnterto open the selected result.
What search covers
A single search looks through Hubs, folders, images, products, designs, palettes, Notes, Comments, messages, action items, and Drive. A half-remembered Note and a file shared in a message can appear in the same results.
Image search finds visual matches even when the file names differ. Drop in a reference and Visualist returns the closest matches from your library.
