What are the Magic AI tools?

The Magic tools are built into Canvas. Most start from an image you select; Generate with Vai starts from a written prompt.

Choose a Magic AI tool

Select an image on the canvas to reveal the tools that edit or combine existing images. Open Generate with Vai when you want to start from a prompt.

• Remove background. Select an image, then choose Remove background to create a version without its backdrop.
• Mixer. Choose Mixer to open Focus mode with the selected image as Base. Add one to three images, describe the result, then select Mix with Vai.
• Eraser. Choose Eraser to open Focus mode. Paint a mask over what you want gone, then select Erase with Vai.
• Fixer. Choose Fixer to open Focus mode. Describe the edit you want, then select Fix with Vai.
• Extender. Choose Extender to open Focus mode. Drag one or more edges outward, then select Extend with Vai.
• Upscaler. Choose Upscaler to open Focus mode and start the upscale. There is no second action to run.
• Render. Choose Render, position objects on top of the plan, then select Render to create the image.
• Generate with Vai. Open Generate with Vai, describe the image, and submit the prompt.

Magic AI tool limits

Very large source images are compressed before they are sent. An image over the size limit is rejected with a message.
